Joyce K. Julien, MS, RD/LDN

Joyce K Julien is the President of the Julien Nutrition Institute, specializing in individual and group nutrition counseling.  Joyce has been featured on local and national TV and radio.  She has written and been quoted in the Miami Herald, USA Today, Shape Magazine and Self Magazine.  Her articles have been published in professional journals, including the Journal of the American Dietetic Association.  Joyce has acted as a nutrition consultant for Miami-Dade Public Schools, giving inservices in nutrition education to elementary school teachers, consultant for Burger King Corporation and the United States Tennis Association. 

Joyce is a registered/licensed dietitian with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science and Chemistry.  She is nationally recognized authority on food and nutrition.  She has been a Legislative Chairperson in the Miami-Dade Dietetic Association and the Florida Dietetic Association, working with legislators in Tallahassee and Washington DC.

Joyce’s specialties include, but are not limited to:  eating disorders, working with and organizing busy professional lives, gastro-intestinal diseases, high school and college athletes, diabetes, weight control, and those who want to create a healthy lifestyle at home and dining out.

Joyce Julien is a true pioneer and leader in the field of nutrition and health.  Not only has she improved the quality of lives in the thousands of patients she has worked with over the past 30 years, but she has also been a tremendous role model and inspiration for many dietitians to pursue careers in nutrition- and continue the journey to help people to feel their best!!  Joyce is married to Bruce Julien MD, and has 3 children and 5 grandchildren.



Vicki Ellis Hatch MS, RD, LD/N 

Vicki Ellis Hatch was born and raised in Miami Beach, Florida.  Vicki has been involved with sports and nutrition her whole life.  Her first career was that of a tennis professional.  She played and competed in junior tennis in Florida and throughout the United States; then received a four year scholarship to play tennis for the University of Texas at Austin.  She competed professionally on the women’s tennis circuit, and then became the Director of tennis at many luxurious tennis clubs in South Florida.  Vicki also coached at the University of Texas at Austin, where she led the Texas Lady Longhorn Tennis team to capture two (2) national collegiate NCAA Division I Championship titles.

For the last 15 years, Vicki has taken her game indoors as a Registered Licensed Dietitian.  She has been in private practice for the last 15 years, and is currently an associate working with the Julien Nutrition Institute.  She has a well-rounded clinical background in the hospital settings: Miami Heart Institute, Aventura Hospital, Mercy Hospital and Memorial West Hospital as a dietitian and Clinical Nutrition Manager.    

At the Julien Nutrition Institure, Vicki specializes in pediatric, teen, adult, and geriatric populations, with expertise in areas of weight management, diabetes, gastrointestinal health, sports nutrition, eating disorders, cardiovascular disease, and corporate health. She spends a great deal of time helping patients to organize their busy lifestyles, as well as sifting through the myriad of nutrition and health information, educating and guiding her patients- in a safe, healthy and productive environment that provide solutions and produce results.  The environment and friendly staff at Julien Nutrition is comforting and extremely supportive- patients really enjoy coming into the office!

Vicki truly enjoys speaking and motivating.  She has inspired many- both young and old.  She has provided talks on Nutrition and Health at most major corporations, works year round with children’s groups to promote healthy eating and healthy minds for young people, has been quoted and published the Miami Herald, local television networks, and radio.

Vicki’s education includes:  Bachelor of Science in Nutrition, University of Texas at Austin; Master’s Degree in Sports and Athletic Administration/ Management, St. Thomas University; Coordinated program for Nutrition and Dietetics, University of Texas at Austin.

Vicki comes from a large family, and has two small children.

Gloria Gorman-Berger B.S., R.D./L.D.N

Gloria Gorman-Berger has worked as a Nutrition Educator and Consultant since 1986. As a Registered & Licensed Dietitian and Licensed Nutritionist, she counsels clients of all ages, both individually & in groups. Gloria has experience in many areas of nutrition including weight management, disease prevention and management, eating disorders, diabetes, sports performance, peri-natal/infant, child & adolescent nutrition. She is also very involved with nutrition and women’s health such as fertility issues, pregnancy, PCOS (PolyCystic Ovarian Syndrome), gestational diabetes, breastfeeding and peri-menopause.

In addition to seeing individual clients, Gloria’s extensive clinical experience includes working as a Chief Clinical Dietitian and Nutrition Consultant to community hospitals, nursing homes and psychiatric facilities including chemical dependency & eating disorder programs. She has also worked with child fitness & adult corporate wellness programs. Gloria has been working with the Julien Nutrition Institute since 1997.
